The Cybertruck in winter and in the mountains
Deep snow, alpine passes, -15 degree mornings: the Cybertruck was designed for extreme conditions. Here is how that plays out in the Swiss Alps.
Traction and ride height
Permanent all-wheel drive, up to three motors on the Cyberbeast, and instant torque metered electronically wheel by wheel: on snow, the traction is in a different league from a classic 4x4.
The air suspension raises ride height to roughly 44 cm in off-road mode. Snowdrifts, uncleared chalet tracks, resort car parks in late season: the Cybertruck gets through where most SUVs give up. We deliver every vehicle with approved winter tyres.
The battery in deep cold
Like every electric vehicle, the Cybertruck loses range in deep cold. The heat pump and battery preconditioning clearly limit the impact: the vehicle warms its battery before departure and before fast charging.
In practice, plan a range margin in winter and plan charging as with any EV. Switzerland's fast-charging network is one of the densest in Europe.
Daily life in the Alps
The lockable bed swallows skis, sledges and mountain gear. The onboard power outlets run your devices at camp or at the chalet. And the raised cabin with panoramic glazing turns Swiss passes into a show.

Do you need snow chains?
Rarely: all-wheel drive and winter tyres are enough in the vast majority of cases. Where chains are signposted as mandatory, compatible solutions exist.
What is the winter range?
Like all electric vehicles, range drops in deep cold. Preconditioning and the heat pump limit the impact; simply plan a margin.
